38th Annual Excellence in Concrete Project Award Winners Announced

Salem, OR – April 27, 2018  A crowd of over 325 people gathered to celebrate Oregon’s best concrete projects at the 38th Annual Excellence in Concrete Awards celebration at the Salem Convention Center.

Winning projects in sixteen unique categories were judged best in class from over 60 submitted entries.

Projects and companies are recognized for their exemplary use of concrete in building design, construction, and landscaping projects completed within the past two years in Oregon and SW Washington.

The winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award for 2018 was Brad Moyes PE, SE, of
KPFF Consulting EngineersA Judge’s Choice Award was given to Hannah Mason Pump Station, Portland, Oregon.

Brad was raised in Redmond, Oregon. Brad is an OSU grad. He joined KPFF in Portland in 1974. He’s registered in 20 states. He’s a past president of ACI and SEAO. He’s a past board member of the NCSEA, National Council of Structural Engineering Associations. He’s a member of AISC, CSI, ASCE. He has been involved with the Excellence in Concrete program for more than 20 years. He has worked on and been principal in charge of countless projects with every type of material and construction ranging from the very small to the skyline altering projects out our windows in Portland. Over the years he has been a thoughtful mentor, manager, co-worker and friend. The industry will lose a significant resource when he retires.
